Nose: Lots of chocolate and orange. Big alcoholic punch. Chocolate pastries and bread. Slight woody tannins, other than that pretty straightforward. You can also smell hints of volcanic earth…
Palate: The alcohol is there, in a very present and spicy way. The first sip hit the ground running, an alcoholic fueled chocolate cake is probably the best way to describe it. As I taste a hot spicy mix of cake, chocolate and orange. A nice bit of oak, tobacco and chocolate finishes this drink of. It hardly burns in the throat and leaves you wondering what happened to that heat from the nose and taste.
Perfect Serve: Very versitile in mixology. However, a very good Barman must know how to put at the centre of the cokcktail this fantastic Rum. Great to be served on its own.

Nose: The wood is already quite prominent here. Burnt caramel, salted peanuts, and also some spices that I’d attribute to the cask make this somewhat of a typical Demerara Rum. Needs sometime to release its intensity.
Palate: A rich mixture of oak, vanilla and caramel on the nose leading to a light palate sweet fudge.
Perfect Serve: To be sipped all alone on a warm glass. This Demerara Rum is huge. It is for the most exclsuive and sophisticated palates. For meditation.
